Hunt County was created from Fannin and Nacogdoches and named for Memucan Hunt. This 1870 Federal Census is taken from the original on microfilm and contains the household and family numbers to make it easier to go back on the microfilm to see the original material, name of the persons living in that household, age, sex and race. Also given is the place of birth of each individual.
