This book contains a list of surveys recorded in Bland County, Virginia, from 1863 to 1926. These records were transcribed from a microfilm copy held at the Library of Virginia. Every effort has been made to make an accurate transcription of these records and to present them in a form that is easy to use. Survey records are listed in chronological order as they appear in the original document. Entries contain the land office warrant number and date of issue, the full name of both the buyer and the seller, number of acres and location of property. Original drawings were used, however, due to page size, the drawings are not to scale as listed by the original surveyor. An index to survey records and an alphabetical list of surveyors add to the value of this work. Anyone interested in the families of Bland County or Bland County history will want to add this handy volume to their library.
