Abstracts of the deeds and other documents found in the deed book IB #8 of Charles County, Maryland, recorded from 1808 to 1810. There are some deeds that mention adjoining landowners, family relationships, and other items of importance to genealogists. Several persons mentioned were living elsewhere than Charles County. Other documents may include slave manumissions, deeds of gift, mortgages, marriage contracts, bills of sale, and other miscellaneous documents. These often contain a wealth of knowledge for the genealogy researcher in this area.
