The abstracts herein were taken from four books: Book 1, 1794–1823; Book 2, 1824–1874; Book 3, 1874–1884; and Book 4, 1884–1894. In addition to the full name of the deceased, these records offer a rich source of names, which may include spouse, children, relatives, witnesses, and/or others. "Items chosen from Inventories and Estate Settlements are meant to give clues to occupation and financial/community status." A full-name index adds to the value of this work.
