A compilation of marriage references, actual and implied, 1642-1800. In many instances the reader will find births and deaths, names of parents, children and other relatives, places of residence and burial, military service information. References were gleaned from licenses, land records, probate records (wills, accounts, inventories, distributions and testamentary proceedings), bibles, church records, tombstone inscriptions, newspapers, military records, and family histories. In some cases the dates of marriage are precise, sometimes approximate or undetermined.
