Land Records of York County, Pennsylvania, Libers A and B, 1746-1764 - Mary Marshall Brewer. York County was created out of Lancaster County in 1749. At its inception it included all of present day York and Adams Counties. (Adams County was not established until 1800). The land records of York County begin with its origin. This book represents abstracts from Deed Book A (1746-1763) and Deed Book B (1763-1764). In many of the deeds the line of ownership reveals the relationship of parents, grandparents, spouses, etc. This is especially helpful when the ancestor died without a will.
