This volume covers the period when deeds and related records were recorded in Deeds books G2 and H2 for the counties of Essex, Middlesex, Monmouth and Somerset. There are numerous instances of transactions that occurred as far back as the early 1700s with one dated 1668/9 but for various reasons nor recorded until 1747-1757. Although Bergen County was a part of East New Jersey, the records for this period were recorded at the county courthouse and are not included here. Many familial relationships are revealed in these records.
