18th Century Register of Emigrants from Southwest Germany.
Professor Werner Hacker.
Professor Hacker, a retired German judge, recognized the need for the compilation and documentation of emigration records from Southwest Germany. Over the course of 24 years (1963 to 1987) he was able to compile and document the records of approximately 65,000 emigrants using immigration data, tax records, bondage release paper, bills, etc. Professor Hacker passed away in 1995 at the age of 96. This book, his last work, was transcribed from German for an American readership.
