Stephens County was created in 1858 but not organized until 1876 out of the lands of Bosque County. These records in this volume contain two alphabetical listings, the first by the surname of the groom with the name of the bride and date of the marriage. The second listing is by the surname of the bride with the names of the grooms and the date of the wedding.
