The first portion of this extensive work offers a detailed history of Indiana. The latter, and significantly larger portion is devoted to the history of Hendricks County. The townships discussed include Brown, Center, Clay, Eel River, Franklin, Guilford, Liberty, Lincoln, Marion, Middle, Union, and Washington. Brief biographical sketches of significant citizens are included within each township section. Four thousand dates and ten times as many names plus the personal histories of several hundred families in all parts of the counties are contained in these pages.
