The Maryland Militia in the Revolutionary War - S. Eugene Clements and F. Edward Wright.
This book provides an overview of the Maryland militia in the Revolutionary War and a compilation of the names of the officers and men from surviving records. It describes events and major aspects of the militia, with over 15,000 men, most of whom did not serve in the Continental Service and appear nowhere else in publication. This is an excellent aid in establishing requirement for entrance into lineage societies such as D.A.R., S.A.R., etc. A summary of the commissioned officers' service records, a collection of the rolls of the companies, and a fullname index add to the value of this work.
