The Western Boundary of Maryland

$7.50

Of Maryland’s numerous boundary disputes, that to the west was the last to be settled. It had its beginning in 1736, when surveyors for Thomas 6th Lord fairfax established the northwest corner of his vast proprietary at the source of a tiny trickle of water which they believed to be “the first or most distant fountain of the Potomac.”
