Dorothy Audrey Simpson, Ed. D., a native of Las Vegas, New Mexico, received her B.A. degree from New Mexico Highlands University. She received her M.S. degree from the University of Utah. She received her Ed. D. from the University of New Mexico. Dr. Simpson has taught at the high school level and at the university level. She retired from New Mexico Highlands University with the rank of Full Professor in the College of Arts and Sciences and was appointed Professor Emeritus. She still teaches part-time at Luna Community College, Las Vegas, New Mexico. She has authored six books and has published numerous articles under the names Dorothy Simpson Beimer, Dorothy Simpson Croxton, D. A. Simpson, and Dorothy Audrey Simpson. She edited From Pajarito to Lungchow: Memoirs of Photographic Reconnaissance Pilot Stanley A. Hardin as told to D. A. Simpson. Dr. Simpson lives on a ranch near Las Vegas, Mexico and enjoys hiking in the mountains and horseback riding. She has two daughters and four grandchildren.
