Brunswick County, Virginia 1782 Persons Who Gave Aid in the American Revolution

$4.00

Brunswick County, Virginia was established in 1720 from Prince George County. In 1732 the county received more land from parts of Surry and Isle of Wight counties. The county is named for the former Duchy of Brunswick-Lunenburg in Germany, because one of the titles also carried by Britain's Hanoverian kings was Duke of Brunswick-Lunenburg. At the time of the American Revolution, persons unable or unwilling to fight for this country could render aid in many forms such as "supplies, food, and clothing". This is a listing of those in Brunswick County who gave aid and certified by the Court in Order Books 13. There is no listing of what they gave, only that they did give something.
