This work was originally published in 1901; because demand is high for this rare volume, Mr. Linscott has re-formatted it for Mayflower researchers and enthusiasts. The format has been updated, but Azel Ames' work has been duplicated exactly. The only new additions are the preface and the index. These pages contain a fascinating look at the ship and her passengers. Chapters discuss the May-Flower's consort (the Speedwell), the May-Flower's charter and information about the ship itself. The book also provides insight into the officers and crew, as well as the passengers, quarters, food and cooking. The last chapter supplies the reader with a look at the log of the May-Flower. Original maps and illustrations highlight the text. The appendix includes the agreement of the merchant adventurers and planters, many letters written by Robert Cushman and the May-Flower compact. A bibliography and a new full-name index are included.
