Quaker marriage certificates are of interest not only for the marriage data per se, but also for the long lists of names of witnesses which serve as a partial census covering the family and friends of the bride and groom. These abstracts of early records from the Concord Monthly Meeting in Delaware County are an important resource which lists all these names, and has complete name and place indexes, as well as two maps showing the locations of individual meeting houses.
