The journals contain the names of the burgesses as well as the names of the citizens who had grievances or petitions to present, or for whom some judgment was being made. They are a record of the early lawmaking process in this country and offer a glimpse off the issues that faced the Colony in those days. 1727-1734, 1736-1740 ,1742-1747 and 1748-1749, 1752-1755 and 1756-1758 ,1758-1761, 1770-1772 ,1773-1776.
