CD: Alger Family Lines

$15.95

CD: Alger Family Lines - Charles R. Alger. This ambitious work encompasses over 1200 Alger, Auger, Allegar and Alleger ancestors found in the northeastern United States since the early 1600s. Most of the information focuses on Jonathan Alger of Lyme, Connecticut (1665), and Thomas Alger of Taunton, Massachusetts (1664). Other lines include those of Thomas Alger of Dunstan, England; Henry Alger of Palgrave, England; Seth Alger of Rhode Island; and Newell Alger of Warwickshire, England. This vast amount of material was found in court records, vital records, newspapers, cemeteries, censuses and other sources. The CD includes an index of Alger first names plus an index of surnames. The book is presented as graphic images, so the user sees the work just as it was originally published. It is intended to look and function very much like a "real" book. There is no electronic index, and there is no electronic text to search. However, numerous electronic bookmarks have been added which make it easy to move through the book. Image numbers will match the page numbers for all of the main text, as well as the index. Any unnumbered portraits and illustrations are at the back of the actual file, to keep page numbering consistent.
