There were many Marylanders who migrated to Tennessee "in the early days" by way of Virginia and North Carolina. This book is the fifth in a series covering Maryland family migration to other states. The previous works (all by Hank Peden) are Marylanders to Kentucky, 1775-1825, Marylanders to Carolina, More Marylanders to Kentucky, 1778-1828, and More Marylanders to Carolina. This book, like the others, was compiled in an effort to identify as many early Marylanders as possible in order to assist genealogists. Many sources were used in this compilation and they have been identified within the text.
