The Brunswick Herald was a four-page, weekly newspaper. The front page usually consisted of business "cards" and general entertainment articles. Subsequent pages contained advertisements and legal notices, local general and personal news, obituaries, marriage announcements, and some national and international news. Columns of local interest were submitted by reporters in various towns in Frederick County and surrounding counties of Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia. These abstracts are not distilled down to the dry facts; rather, they contain much of the wording from the original articles, providing a little extra insight for the family researcher. The articles are presented in chronological order with a full name index.
