Many Puritan families are found in the very early records of southern Maryland, such as the Berrys and Prestons, became Quakers and, crossing the bay, settled on the Eastern Shore. This volume follows these and allied families including Marsh, Wenlock, Christison, Galloway, Rasin, LeCompt, Gary and Sharp up to around 1800. Also included are the families named Wells, Parran, Ashcom, Spinke, Shercliffe, Sollers, Lashley, Witten and other families who married into these lines.
