Being a translation from the German of the Record Books of the First Reformed Church of Easton, Pennsylvania, from 1760 to 1852
The records are presented as they appeared in the original books; chronologically arranged and categorized into baptisms, deaths and burials, and marriages. The author inserted notations and comments within the actual records to indicate when a new pastor took over the record-keeping duties. This helps to account for the variations in name spellings and the difficulty of reading some of the handwritten entries.
