This book is a goldmine of genealogical information for the Northern Baltimore, Maryland, area. The author identifies the original settlers of the Seventh Election District area and follows their descendants for three generations. Many of the first pioneers were of English descent, born in the Tenth District, which lies just south of the Seventh District, and had family members still living in that area. Succeeding generations became increasingly interrelated through marriage, due to limited transportation and the lack of contact with outside influences. These relationships explain how the many properties were divided and passed from one generation to the next. There will be some extension into neighboring areas as the concentric rings of family always extend outward. The Weisburg Inn, early history and political subdivisions, early families along the Chesapeake Bay, early road, communities, and more are briefly examined. The bulk of the book is devoted to "Outline Descendant Trees" for the individual pioneers. Brief narratives are provided for some individuals and locations. A wealth of photographs, illustrations and maps; and a full name index enhance the text.
