This book identifies Revolutionary War patriots from Buckingham County, Virginia, from 1775 through 1783. Entries are arranged alphabetically. Information includes service, enlistments, rank, pensions, bounty land, births, deaths, and names of family members. It includes patriots who were living in the county before, during and after the war. In 1869, the courthouse and clerk's office in Buckingham County, Virginia, and the valuable vital records housed there, were destroyed in a fire. Therefore, the genealogical data preserved in this volume is of particular importance.
