The Cemeteries of Northern Richland County, South Carolina

$35.50

The author crawled through briers, thickets and faced angry ants to compile this useful genealogy tool. Seeing a lack of information out there, the author decided to do a survey of burial sites throughout northern Richland County, South Carolina to help preserve the history and the people. The book is separated into four sections. Each section begins with an alphabetical list of gravesites and the pages on which they can be found followed by the individual surveys for each location. He has documented 213 cemeteries and the surveys include name, date of birth, date of death and any other information that may be on the headstone. All 213 cemeteries are above Interstate 20 with the exception of the Fort Jackson Cemeteries that lay southeast of Columbia and a handful that are just south of the Interstate in Northern Richland County, SC. This is a very valuable tool for the genealogist as many of these cemeteries are in danger of disappearing by nature, pollution, vandalism and land development.
