Will books are one of the best resources for determining family relationships in genealogy research. This volume contains entries from Essex County Will Book (1745-1748), beginning on page 324 and ending on page 533 for courts held 21 May 1745 through 20 May 1747. This volume also contains entries from Essex County Will Book No. 8 (1747-1750), beginning on page 1 and ending on page 119 for courts held 16 June 1747 through 20 Dec 1748. In addition to the full name of the deceased, these records offer a rich source of names, which may include spouse, children, relatives, witnesses, and/or others.
