This work provides valuable genealogical data on the Perry family, tracing the lines back to John Perry of Foreham, Hampshire County, England. The work begins with the first American ancestor, his son, John Perry, born in London, England, in 1604, who came to Watertown, Massachusetts around 1666. The introductory section looks at the records of Josiah Perry (3rd generation) and Captain John Perry (5th generation). This section includes excerpts from MA archives and details on the lives of these men. The entries note the generation and contain the full name, date, and place of birth, town, and state of residence, spouse's name and date of birth, children, and if known, date and place of death. Brief biographical sketches are included with many of the entries. This work looks at the descendants of Captain David Perry and Jane Alexander, Wilder Perry, Hannah Perry, Lucy Perry and Benjamin Thomas, Captain Ephraim Perry, Mary Perry and Ezekiel Raymond, Margaret Perry and David Philbrook, Captain Robert Perry, Elonia Perry and Moses H. Heard, Rebecca Perry and Daniel Thomas, and Samuel Moody. Two original indices have been included: an index to Perry genealogy and an index to Perry history.
