This book is a transcription of available records from King William County, Virginia covering the period April 11, 1702 and ending May 21, 1705. The office of the Clerk of Courts of King William County, Virginia was burned in 1885 and the records almost completely destroyed. The records that were saved; charred and dilapidated fragments for sheets from various books whose bindings had been burned off, were put together without regard to date or subject matter and bound into seventeen volumes and filmed. Before binding the prints however, an effort was made to arrange them. The volumes cover periods 1702-1706, 1721-1722 and 1785-1786. The page numbers and the volume numbers are given as they were written in the records.
