This volume of the Rhea County Newspapers is fragmented in part as the information is found in four different newspapers, i.e. "The Dayton Herald", "The Dayton Star", "The Dayton Enterprise" and "The Dayton Christian Advocate." Some of the information came from William G. Allen papers especially those that contained his articles. There are hundreds of names in this volume and they tell a unique story of the local residents. Included are the advertisements which give a different side to the history of the area.
