The Sullivan Expedition of 1779

This roster lists soldiers in General Sullivan's expedition through the southern tier of New York State-approximately 5,865 men. Troops are included from Maryland, Vermont, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire and New York. Rosters are arranged by regiment, with names listed by company and rank. A brief history augments many regiments. Data was gleaned from muster rolls, payrolls, adjutant's accounts, etc. housed in several state archives, libraries and state historical societies.
