The five volumes of the Missouri Obituaries series contain obituaries published weekly in the St. Louis Christian Advocate, the newspaper for the Missouri Methodist Church, South. In later years, the area of coverage was enlarged. Over 6000 records are given in the five volumes. A statewide index to these obituaries and ones abstracted in the Missouri Miscellany and Missouri Pioneers series is available.
