Franklin County, located in the eastern portion of Missouri along the Missouri River, was settled early on with Spanish grants ceded by the Spanish governor of St. Louis. Some of these settlements were known as Labaddie, DuBois, St. John, Newport, Boeuf or Berger. Franklin became a county on 11 December 1818. In this volume you will find 2,600 marriage records from Marriage Book A covering the years 1819-1844. In book B covering the years 1844-1858, the marriages are indexed by groom only.
