Madison County, located in the northwestern portion of the state, was created in 1836. The historical portion of this volume covers the time period from the creation of the county up to the mid-1880s when the original material was printed by Goodspeed Publishing. The biographical material was submitted by the families themselves, therefore, this should be more accurate than other sources.
