The volumes below contain wills, estate sales, inventories, guardianships, claims against the U.S. Government, assignments of dower, and administrator's settlements. Of all the above, the most often overlooked, and perhaps the most valuable to the researcher, are estate settlements of those who died intestate (without a will). Unlike wills, these intestate wills list ALL heirs of the deceased. To assist the researcher, Major includes these "Intestate Wills" in all volumes.
