Trinity County, Texas was created in 1850 from the lands of Houston County in southeastern Texas. The county lies on the Trinity River and Groveton is the county seat. This index to probate cases gives the names of the deceased persons, minors and other principals and is arranged alphabetically, with reference to filing date of the case and the case number. This case number is necessary in order for the clerk to find the original papers concerning each case.
