Your Ancestors of Jasper County, Texas

$12.50

This volume is in actuality the 1850 Federal Census of the county and annotated. This is important as Jasper County was one of the original counties of the Republic of Texas in southeast Texas on the Neches River. It was created on 17 March 1836 with the John Bevil’s home site being selected as the county seat. This transcription of the census includes the dwelling and family numbers which allows the researcher to go back into the original census to locate the individual of interest. This is followed by the names of those living in the household, their age, sex, race, occupation, value of real estate, place of birth and some minor notes. The additions of the marriage records, birth and deaths are given when located.
