Wise County, Texas was established in 1856 out of Cooke County and is located in the north central section of the state with the Trinity River cutting the county in half. This collection of early marriage records begins in 1881 and runs through 1893. The volume contains two alphabetical listings. The first list is by surname of the grooms with the names of the bride and the date of the wedding. The second list is by the surname of the bride with the name of the groom and the date of the marriage.
