Gonzales County, Texas Marriage Records, Book A, 1829-1866, Volume 1

The County of Gonzales was created in 1832 but not organized until 1837 from the Old Mexican Municipality. One notes that the marriages begin three years prior to the formation of the county and this is a plus for the researcher. The volume consists of two alphabetical listings, one for the grooms and one for the brides. Each listing contains the date the license was issued, and the names of the bride and groom.
