Bibb County Georgia was formed on December 9, 1822 by the Legislature of Georgia. The county seat is Macon and to date there have not been any reports of court house fires. Just a small note on the marriage book A shows the dates of 1827-1839, however, from the typed records, occasionally marriages are earlier to 1825.
