$6.00

Floyd County, Georgia, located in the northwest section of the state, was established on December 3, 1832 by an act of the Georgia General Assembly and was created from land that was part of Cherokee County at the time. The County is named after General John Floyd. The historical section of this material was given up to the time of the original publication in the mid-1880s. The family sketches were contributed by the families themselves, therefore, are more accurate than other sources.
