Oldham County, Kentucky was created in 1823 out of the lands taken from Henry, Shelby and Jefferson counties. The history and biographies for this volume are taken from two older volumes, History of Kentucky by Lewis Collins published about 1882 and Kentucky: A History of the State by W. H. Perrin, J. H. Battle and G. C. Kniffin in 1885. Most of the personal data was donated by the families themselves and therefore, more accurate than other information and data.
