Warren County, Kentucky History and Biographies

$22.00

Warren County, Kentucky was created in 1796 from a part of Logan County and was named for General Joseph Warren, who fell at the Battle of Bunker Hill during the American Revolutionary War. The area was first settled in 1778 by Andrew McFadden who established a station on the north side of Barren River.

This volume of history and biographies is taken from two sources: firstly, History of Kentucky by Lewis Collins written about 1882 and secondly, Kentucky: A History of the State written by W. H. Perrin, J. H. Battle and G. C. Kniffin in 1885. Since most of the biographical data came from the individual families, the information could be considered more accurate than some others.
