Laclede County, located in the south central portion of the state was created on 24 February 1849 and named for Pierre Laclede, founder of St. Louis. In the volume is a brief history of the county, county wills and administrations 1849-1883, marriage record 1855-1870, marriage records 1870-1881 & 1849-1854 and the Centennial Address of 4 July 1876. This volume contains over 4500 names in the index.
