White County, Tennessee Court Minutes 1819-1820



White County, named for John White an early settler in the area in 1806, is located in Middle Tennessee. These county court minutes reflect the actions of the county commissioners in their running of the county with deed transactions, orphan bondage, in some cases divorces and licenses and many other things that happen in a county.


“Page 90 - This day John Newman was bound unto Turner Lane to serve him after the manner of an apprentice untill he arrives at the age of twenty-one years being aged thirteen years on the 31st August 1819 who intered into bond with Jacob A. Lane in $200 conditioned as the law requires.”
