The courts in Roane County, Tennessee were extremely important because many of the cases involved during this time period dealt with some reaction to Indian conflicts. This volume indicates the witnesses in most cases for the trials going on. One side note is the amount paid for ferry crossings, and travel expenses. Usually only the names of the two parties and witnesses are given. No action of the trial is found here.
