Cocke County, located in mid-east Tennessee, is nestled up against North Carolina on the east and many of the migration trails from that direction came through Cocke County. This 1850 census is very important due to the fact that it is the first of the census to list the names of all of those living within a household. Given here are the names, age, occupation, real value and birthplace of the individual.
