Grundy County, located on the Cumberland Plateau in middle Tennessee, was formed in 1844 from lands taken from Coffee and Warren County. The county was named for Felix Grundy, a Tennessee statesman. In these records are found the records of estate settlement with the names of those responsible for that settlement and the names of the creditors and/or other parties involved in this estate.
