Hickman County located in middle Tennessee, was processed by the WPA workers going all over the county cataloging the various cemeteries and collecting various Bible records during the depression of the 1930s. This volume is prepared after the collection was assembled by the Tennessee State Archives of the records they had in their collection. Mountain Press acquired a number of the original records many years ago as well. When we found the Archives' collection, we compared the ones we have with theirs and found a number of the originals that were not inlcuded in the Archives. We have put these into a volume by themselves.
