Pulaski County, Virginia Birth Records, 1853-1870

$16.50

Pulaski County is located in southwestern Virginia and was created in 1839 from the lands that belonged to Montgomery and Wythe Counties. This listing of the births began in 1853 which is somewhat early for most of the states, but in Virginia, many of the counties started making a register of births and deaths around 1853. Many slave births are recorded with the owner listed as the father. These records are given in the entry order by date with the name, race, sex, father's name, occupation [of the father], residence, mother's name and the person that gave the information to the clerk in the courthouse with their relationship.
