The 1880 census is the most interesting censuses taken in the 19th century due to the addition of one column in the questionnaire. This is the "relationship to head of household" feature. In the past, if the name of those living in the household was given, then you did not know if this was a child, nephew/niece or what. In the 1880 census, you are given that bit of information. In this transcription, most of the vital information is given such as household number, names of individuals, their age/sex/occupation and birth place, as well as relationship to the head of the household.
